Carlos Antonio Ponce Diaz was born is a native of Puerto Rico. His baseball career debuted in 1985 with the Milwaukee Brewers MLB (Major League Baseball). From 1986 to 1990, he belonged to Yokohama Ocean Whales (now Yokohama DeNA Baystars). One home run (1988), two RBIs (1987, 1988), one hit (1987). It is loved by fans for its competitive batting and cheerful characters similar to Super Mario.

After retiring in 1991, he became a leader in the minor leagues, where he held batting coaches, scouts, and GM assistants at Montreal Expos, Florida Marlins, and Milwaukee Brewers. Since then, he has been a director and coach for high school baseball teams and amateur teams based in Florida, USA.
